Picture of the program.

WinTVCap_GUI is a (G)raphical(U)ser(I)nterface for direct recording and scheduling of tv and radio recordings for any command line parameter accepting recording application.

At first it was only intended to be a GUI for WinTVCap, that's where it's name comes from. But from time to time I added more and more feature. A important one is the Extended Scheduler which enables the use of any command line parameter accepting recording application. Later I added the direct support for GBRecord, because it's similar to WinTVCap but supports even more tv cards. The only thing left, that is only be useable by using WinTVCap or GBRecord is LiveTV, all other features can be used with other recording applications.

WinTVCap_GUI uses the Windows Task Scheduler for creating recording tasks, therefor it not have to run to let a recording start. Windows handles the start, so it's possible to send the computer to hibernate, if a recording is up to the computer will be waked up and the recording will be done. After the recording it is possible to let the computer be send to hibernate automatically (programable per recording task).

You can download all versions of WinTVCap_GUI from the download site, but I suggest the use of the current version. For all who already got the program installed there is an update function build in, so you don't have to download a new version. Simply use Options->Check for updates to update it to the newest version.

WinTVCap_GUI is a Java application, you need a Java2 Runtime Environment (min. version 6).

My special thanks goes to Gunnar Dommel, who assists me with suggestions and as beta tester.

Additional I want to thank Hendrik Dankowski, who assists me with many suggestions and so helped me to make WinTVCap_GUI better. Moritz Schröter for making the old Tasklist icon.

My very special thanks goes to Nelson Darkwah Oppong, who created the new Tasklist icon, the splash screens and the tray icon for ReDeMPG.
